Ankr Forge Wallet: how to hold, deposit, and withdraw ANKR

We documented the Ankr Forge Wallet. Signing in to Forge with a Google, X, or Discord account creates a wallet for you, and the new page covers what to do with it: save the backup key, open your Ankr Account, deposit ANKR to your own address, and withdraw it to any wallet on the same network.

Wallet: Hold, Deposit & Withdraw is a new page in the Ankr Forge section. It answers the questions the interface raises but does not have room to explain:

  • When Forge creates a wallet for you. Any sign-in method other than an existing EOA wallet gets one. Connecting MetaMask, Coinbase, WalletConnect, or TrustWallet does not create one, because that wallet already backs your Forge account.
  • What the backup key is for. It is the spare way into your Ankr Account if you lose the device holding your passkey, and it is how you withdraw without that passkey. We never store a copy, so anyone who holds the file controls the account.
  • Which balance is which. "In your wallet" is your linked external wallet, which Forge only reads. "Ankr Account" is the balance inside Forge that Deposit and Withdraw act on. Forge never adds the two together.
  • Deposits. Where to find your deposit address, why the token and network on that screen are the only ones the address accepts, who pays the network fee, and how long tokens take to arrive.
  • Withdrawals. The three steps of the flow, what the "Free" network fee line means, and what each result screen tells you to do next, including the "Still confirming" case where sending again is the wrong move.
  • Restoring access. How to get back in with your backup key after losing a passkey, and what happens when the file does not match or a passkey already exists on the device.

Worth checking on your side​

The backup key can only be downloaded on the one screen that appears while your wallet is being created. After that the app no longer holds it, and there is no way to download it again or reissue it. We never keep a copy, so we cannot send you one either.

So check now that you still have the file you downloaded, and that it is stored somewhere other than the device you sign in from. If you cannot find it and your passkey still works, you are not locked out: withdraw your ANKR to a wallet you control while that passkey still answers. Losing every device and the backup key means access cannot be restored.
