Filecoin mainnet is on Lotus v1.38.1

Our Filecoin mainnet nodes run Lotus v1.38.1. Upstream recommends this release for nodes that serve Ethereum log queries and receipts: when the data behind an event is missing, those calls now return an error instead of an incomplete result. No method limits, error codes or rate limits changed on our side.

Client versions​

Worth checking on your side​

  • eth_getLogs and receipts on Filecoin now fail explicitly when event data is missing. Before v1.38.1, Lotus dropped events whose message it could not load, so eth_getLogs could return an empty or partial list that looked like a complete answer. Now the call returns an error. If your indexer treats an empty result as final, handle this error as a failed read and retry it instead of skipping the range.
