Plasma and World Chain are in the docs, for Premium and Enterprise

Docs Team

We serve Plasma mainnet on rpc.ankr.com/plasma and World Chain mainnet on rpc.ankr.com/worldchain, over HTTPS and WSS, to Premium and Enterprise users. Both chains are now in the chain list, each with its own API reference.

Docs

  • Plasma is in the chain list. Plasma, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 built for stablecoin payments, carries the HTTPS and WSS endpoints, the MetaMask settings (chain ID 9745, XPL), and the supported and unsupported method lists. The API reference documents 33 methods, including debug_traceBlockByHash, debug_traceBlockByNumber, debug_traceBlock, debug_traceTransaction and debug_traceCall.
  • World Chain is in the chain list. World Chain, an OP Stack Layer 2, carries the HTTPS and WSS endpoints, the MetaMask settings (chain ID 480, ETH), and the method lists. The API reference documents 31 methods, including the same five debug_trace* methods.
  • Every example on those pages except the eth_sendRawTransaction placeholder was run against mainnet, and the response shown is the one it returned.

Worth checking on your side

  • Premium and Enterprise only. Neither chain is on the Freemium or Public plans. A request without an API key returns -32052.
  • WSS on both chains. Connect to wss://rpc.ankr.com/plasma/ws/YOUR_ANKR_API_KEY or wss://rpc.ankr.com/worldchain/ws/YOUR_ANKR_API_KEY; eth_subscribe works, for example newHeads. See the WebSocket limits.
  • World Chain state, receipts and logs cover the last ~100,000 blocks, about 55 hours. Every block and transaction is available, but balances, eth_call, receipts and debug_trace* for older blocks return an error or null, and eth_getLogs over an older range returns an empty array rather than an error.
  • eth_getLogs covers up to 10,000 blocks per call on both chains. A larger range returns -32062.
  • There is no trace_* on either chain. Use the debug_trace* methods with callTracer for call traces. The World Chain node also does not implement web3_clientVersion or web3_sha3.
  • Filter methods are blocked. eth_newFilter, eth_newBlockFilter, eth_newPendingTransactionFilter, eth_getFilterChanges, eth_getFilterLogs and eth_uninstallFilter return -32075. Use eth_getLogs, or eth_subscribe over WSS.
  • No RPC method limits, error codes, batch caps or range caps changed on any other chain.
