Roundup: Filecoin Calibration moves to Solstice, Sui protocol 137 and IOTA protocol 36 are live

Filecoin's Calibration network activates network version 29 (Solstice) on 28 September at 12:59:30 UTC, and our Calibration nodes already run the release candidate that carries it. Sui mainnet moved to protocol 137, IOTA mainnet to protocol 36, and Ethereum mainnet and Sepolia to reth v2.6.0. We also corrected the 15 September end-of-support list: it now has eighteen endpoints, and one of the additions answered keyless calls.

Docs​

  • 0G pages now run on mainnet. Every EVM example on the 0G pages now calls 0g_mainnet_evm and shows its real response, and BeaconKit REST has its own page. The Tendermint pages are gone, because the only network they covered reached end of support, and their old links redirect.
  • Stellar methods in the OpenAPI spec. The downloadable OpenAPI spec (JSON) now includes stellar_getTokenPrice, stellar_getAccountBalance and stellar_getEvents, so a client you generate from it covers the Stellar Soroban API as well.

Network upgrades​

Each of these has an activation height, epoch or date upstream, and the upgrade landed before it:

  • Filecoin Calibration: nodes on Lotus v1.37.0-rc1, which sets the nv29 (Solstice) upgrade at epoch 4109133, 28 September at 12:59:30 UTC. Upstream has not scheduled the mainnet activation yet. Filecoin mainnet stays on Lotus v1.36.3 until it does.
  • Sui: mainnet nodes on mainnet-v1.80.1, and protocol version 137 is now active on mainnet. It changes how LdConst is charged, so constant-heavy Move code costs slightly more gas. Testnet went first, on v1.80.1.
  • IOTA: mainnet nodes on v1.32.1, carrying protocol version 36, which could enable no earlier than the start of epoch 507 on 24 September at 07:42 UTC. It is active now.

Client versions​

  • Ethereum mainnet and Ethereum Sepolia: reth v2.6.0. web3_clientVersion returns reth/v2.6.0-73a3a00 on both.
  • Ethereum Hoodi: Geth v1.17.6.
  • Solana mainnet and devnet: Agave v4.3.0. getVersion returns solana-core 4.3.0 on both.
  • Arbitrum Nova and Arbitrum Sepolia: Nitro v3.12.0. Offchain Labs has not published a release page for it yet, so there is nothing upstream to link. Arbitrum One stays on v3.11.4.
  • XRP Ledger testnet: rippled 3.4.0.

Deprecations and end of support​

  • The 15 September list grew from fifteen to eighteen endpoints. The 0G Galileo testnet reached end of support on all three of its surfaces (EVM, Tendermint and BeaconKit), and so did the vFlow Volta testnet. The new strings to search for are 0g_galileo_testnet_tendermint, 0g_galileo_testnet_beaconkit and vflow_volta_testnet. We updated the original entry with the full list. 0G mainnet EVM, 0G mainnet BeaconKit and vFlow mainnet are not affected.
  • Sui JSON-RPC. The implicit fallback to the Sui Foundation archival service disconnects at the end of September 2026, which is this week. After that, historical and pruned reads over JSON-RPC can return incomplete results. Migrate to gRPC or GraphQL.

Worth checking on your side​

  • If you used the vFlow Volta testnet without a key, it no longer answers. Unlike the other seventeen endpoints on the list, it did not require a Premium key, so a keyless or Freemium integration could still have been calling it.
  • On Filecoin Calibration, StateMinerInitialPledgeCollateral returns an error from nv29. Upstream points to StateMinerInitialPledgeForSector instead, with the full sector size passed as the verified size. The same change reaches mainnet once upstream schedules it there.
  • Sui protocol 137 changes gas for constant-heavy code. If you pin gas budgets tightly for Move calls that load many constants, re-check them.
