Agent RPC MCP adds eight Sui tools

Docs Team

Agent RPC MCP now has twenty-five tools, eight of them for Sui, and reaches Sui over its gRPC API instead of JSON-RPC. Agents can read Move objects, owned objects, dynamic fields, packages and function signatures, resolve SuiNS names, simulate a transaction and poll Move events from the chain tip.

What changed

  • Eight Sui tools: suiGetObjects, suiListOwnedObjects, suiListDynamicFields, suiGetPackage, suiGetFunction, suiResolveName, suiSimulateTransaction and suiWatchEvents. See Sui for what each one answers.

  • The general tools take chain: "sui". getBalances, getBlock, getTransaction, getWalletActivity and getLogs route a Sui call themselves; getLogs reads Move events over a checkpoint range.

  • rpcCall on Sui answers only the methods it translates to gRPC. Sui removes JSON-RPC from full-node software in mid-October 2026, so any other Sui method is refused with the list of translated ones instead of being sent to an interface that is going away. describeMethods reports the same per method.

  • The agent card states x402Support: true. agent-card.json now says what the endpoint already does: a session without an API key pays per call over x402.

What did not change

  • No change on other chains. The seventeen existing tools behave as before on every chain except Sui.
  • The same key and limits. Calls go out under your Ankr API key and your plan. No method limits, error codes or rate limits changed on the RPC service.
