Whitechain mainnet is in the docs

We serve Whitechain mainnet on rpc.ankr.com/whitechain over HTTPS, and over WSS for Premium and Enterprise users. Whitechain is an OP Stack Layer 2 with WBT as its gas token. The Whitechain docs now lead with mainnet; the Sepolia testnet stays on rpc.ankr.com/whitechain_testnet.

  • Whitechain mainnet is in the chain list. Whitechain carries the mainnet HTTPS and WSS endpoints and the MetaMask settings (chain ID 1875, WBT), next to the testnet ones. The API reference now runs its 38 examples against mainnet, including five debug_trace* and five trace_* methods. Every example except the eth_sendRawTransaction placeholder was run against mainnet, and the response shown is the one it returned.

Worth checking on your side​

  • The gas token is WBT, not ETH. Balances, eth_gasPrice and fee estimates are denominated in WBT (18 decimals). Tooling that assumes ETH as the native currency needs the currency set explicitly.
  • debug_* and trace_* are for Premium and Enterprise. A request without an API key returns -32053.
  • Filter and txpool methods are blocked, over HTTPS and WSS. eth_newFilter, eth_newBlockFilter, eth_newPendingTransactionFilter, eth_getFilterChanges, eth_getFilterLogs and eth_uninstallFilter return -32075. txpool_* returns -32075 with an API key and -32053 without one. Use eth_getLogs, or eth_subscribe over WSS.
  • eth_getLogs covers the block range of your plan per call: 1,000 blocks on Public and 10,000 on Premium. With 1 s blocks that is under 17 minutes of history on Public and under 3 hours on Premium; a larger range returns -32062. Page through long ranges.
  • WSS is for Premium and Enterprise. Connect to wss://rpc.ankr.com/whitechain/ws/YOUR_ANKR_API_KEY; eth_subscribe works, for example newHeads. See the WebSocket limits.
  • No RPC method limits, error codes, batch caps or range caps changed on any other chain.
