Stake ETH in SSV–Ethereum

Before you start

Ensure the following:

Get Testnet ETH

As SSV Trustless Liquid Staking is currently available on Ethereum Goerli, you'll be staking Testnet tokens.

As Goerli is a testing network, you can get Goerli ETH from a Goerli faucet, such as Goerlifaucet (opens in a new tab). More faucets can easily be found on Internet.

Connect your wallet

Be sure to select the "Ethereum Goerli" network in your wallet. Otherwise, you get an error message.

  1. Visit Ankr Staking Dashboard (opens in a new tab). Connect wallet button
  2. Click Connect wallet in the top-right corner of the page. Connect wallet button
  3. Choose MetaMask. Connect wallet button
  4. If you have multiple accounts in MetaMask, choose an account to connect and click Next. Choose an account
  5. Click Connect and wait for a couple of moments till the connecting process is finished. Connect the account
  6. Successful connection to Ankr Staking is indicated at top right corner by the address of wallet you connected. Wallet connected
  7. If asked by Ankr Staking to switch networks, select a network of your choice. Select a supported network
  8. Click Switch network to confirm switching. Confirm switching networks

Stake your ETH

Make sure you have enough ETH to cover the gas fees for you transactions.
Ethereum currently doesn't support unstaking. You will only be able to unstake with the Shanghai upgrade which is planned for ~Q2/Q3 2023.

  1. Visit Ankr Staking (opens in a new tab).
  2. Locate the SSV–Ethereum (ETH) box and click Stake in it. SSV–Ethereum (ETH) on Staking Dashboard
  3. Enter the desired amount of ETH to stake and click Stake. Stake ETH in SSV–Ethereum (ETH)
  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. Confirm staking transaction
  5. Add the liquid staking token to your wallet, clicking Add asETHc to wallet. Add asETHc to your wallet or go to Staking Dashboard
  6. Click Go to dashboard to see the added liquid staking token. You may need to wait a little for the transaction to finalize and Dashboard to automatically update. See asETHc on Staking Dahsboard

Don't see your asETHc balance?

If you don't see your asETHc balance in your wallet:

  1. Visit Ankr Staking Dashboard (opens in a new tab).
  2. Find your liquid staking token, click the three-dot menu, and click Token information. Click the three dot menu button and click Token information
  3. Click Add asETHc to wallet. Click Add asETHc to wallet

You can also manually import the token in your wallet and copy&paste the Contract address while doing it.
