Robinhood Chain

tip

Available for Premium and Enterprise users only.

Robinhood Chain API is available on Web3 API platform.

Robinhood Chain is a permissionless, Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 built for onchain financial infrastructure, bringing traditional markets, crypto, and real-world assets onto one network. It runs on the Arbitrum Nitro stack as a rollup that posts its data to Ethereum, uses ETH as the gas token, and produces a block about every 100 ms. The chain ID is 4663.

In order for your Web3 application to interact with Robinhood Chain — either by reading blockchain data or sending transactions to the network — it must connect to a Robinhood Chain node. Developers interact with the blockchain using the methods provided by the API.

The API interaction follows the JSON-RPC which is a stateless, light-weight remote procedure call (RPC) protocol. It defines several data structures and the rules around their processing. It is transport agnostic in that the concepts can be used within the same process, over sockets, over HTTP, or in other message-passing environments. It uses JSON (RFC 4627) as data format.

Not available on Robinhood Chain:

The node exposes the arb, debug, eth, net, rpc, and web3 modules. There is no trace_* and no arbtrace_*; for call traces use the debug_trace* methods above. See Unsupported methods for the full list.
