Start building on Avail, the unification layer for Web3.

Ankr is excited to announce a new addition to our RPC service: Avail, a modular blockchain solution designed to unify Web3 and optimize data availability (DA) for scalable and customizable applications.

This is great news for developers looking to get the jump on building on top of Avail for scalable and interconnected chains and dApps! Users will be able to access Avail Public and Premium RPCs, make request calls, and receive information returns that are identical to the results they would get by running a node themselves.

Use the Avail Testnet RPC now (Mainnet coming soon!)

What is Avail?

Avail is an infrastructure layer designed to unify the world of Web3. It aims to achieve this by creating a modular tech stack that tackles three key areas:

  • Data Availability (DA): This is the foundation of Avail's ecosystem. It provides a highly optimized base layer for ensuring reliable and near-immediate data availability guarantees, which is crucial for scaling rollups.

  • Nexus: This layer focuses on cross-chain composability and communication. It aims to make it easier for different blockchains to interact with each other.

  • Fusion Security: This layer provides a shared security model, strengthening the overall security of the Web3 ecosystem.

Avail aims to unify interaction between various blockchain networks by addressing these areas, ultimately creating a unified and user-friendly Web3 experience.

What Are Ankr’s New Avail RPC Connections?

  • Ankr’s Avail RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls) connect your wallet, command-line interface, or chain with Avail. They act as a messenger or blockchain router that relays on-chain information between Avail nodes, chains, and ultimately end-users so they can execute necessary tasks like transactions, populate wallet balances, fetch ownership information, and much more.

  • Avail RPC endpoints are a gateway for developers to interface directly with Avail — a portal to communicate easily, remotely, and with no need to go through the DevOps of establishing their own Avail nodes.

  • Ankr is providing a geo-distributed Avail RPC comprised of blockchain nodes running worldwide for incredibly low latency and reliable connections.

How Do the Avail RPCs Help Developers?

Building with Avail is an excellent choice for creating scalable rollups but requires access to the information on Avail nodes to do so. Therefore, Ankr’s RPC solves the following developer troubles:

Eliminates complex node ops - Ankr’s Avail RPCs will completely remove the need for many developers to set up their own Avail nodes, removing hours of time spent building, calibrating, and fixing node issues.

Grants access to advanced tools -  Ankr’s Premium RPC Plan instantly grants access to the best tools to build applications quickly, including:

  • At least 1,500 Avail req/sec
  • Dedicated Avail endpoints
  • Prioritized requests
  • Priority support portal
  • WebSockets (WS) capabilities

Powers chains, applications, and open-source software that need access to Avail - Connect with a cluster of high-performance nodes that hold the information you need to build and operate chains and applications with Avail chain capabilities.

Supports the Avail network - Ankr will strengthen the Avail network globally by offering easier development and a broader, decentralized node infrastructure.

How to Make Your First Call to Avail

You can get started building on the Avail testnet (mainnet coming soon) by heading to Ankr’s RPC Service to make your first call! You will be able to use the Avail endpoint to call the chain using the standard EVM JSON RPC methods.
