Ankr is excited to announce the release of Etherlink on our Web3 API service, the fast, fair, and efficient layer-2 chain! This is great news for developers looking to build advanced dApps on top of Etherlink, as Web3 API users can now access Etherlink Public and Premium RPCs, make request calls, and receive information returns identical to those they would get by running a node themselves.

Etherlink is an EVM‑compatible, non‑custodial Layer‑2 blockchain built using Tezos Smart Rollup technology, whose core purpose is to provide a fast, fair, nearly free, and fully decentralized scaling layer for EVM-based applications. Built directly into the Tezos protocol (“enshrined rollup”), it inherits Tezos Layer‑1 security and governance while offering sub‑second confirmations (~500 ms), extremely low fees (~$0.001 or less per ERC‑20 tx), decentralized sequencer/MEV protection, and permissionless, on‑chain governance with no admin keys or trusted bridges.

Learn more about Etherlink

  • Our Etherlink RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls) connect your wallet, command-line interface, or decentralized applications with the Etherlink blockchain. They act as a messenger or blockchain router that relays on-chain information between Etherlink nodes, apps, and ultimately end-users so they can execute necessary tasks like transactions, populate wallet balances, fetch ownership information, and much more.
  • Etherlink RPC endpoints are a gateway for developers to interface directly with Etherlink — a portal to communicate easily, remotely, and with no need to go through the DevOps of establishing their own Etherlink nodes.
  • Asphere is providing a geo-distributed Etherlink RPC comprised of blockchain nodes running worldwide for incredibly low latency and reliable connections.

Building with Etherlink is an excellent choice for creating high-performance and privacy-focused dApps, but it requires access to the information on Etherlink nodes to do so. Therefore, Ankr’s RPCs solve the following developer troubles:

Eliminates complex node ops - Etherlink RPCs will completely remove the need for developers to set up their own Etherlink nodes, removing hours of time spent building, calibrating, and fixing node issues.

Grants access to advanced tools -  Ankr’s Premium RPC Plan instantly grants access to the best tools to build applications quickly, including:

  • At least 90,000 Etherlink req/minute
  • Dedicated Etherlink endpoints
  • Prioritized requests
  • Priority support portal
  • WebSockets (WS) capabilities

Powers wallets, apps, and open-source software that need access to Etherlink - Connect with a cluster of high-performance nodes that hold the information you need to build and operate applications with Etherlink chain capabilities.

Supports the Etherlink network - Ankr and Asphere will strengthen the Etherlink network globally by offering easier development and a broader, decentralized node infrastructure.

You can now get started building on the Etherlink network by heading to our RPC Service to make your first call! You can use the Etherlink endpoint to call the chain using the standard EVM JSON RPC methods.
