Ankr 2025: A Year Defined by Relentless Execution

At Ankr, there is an unwritten company culture defined by stoicism, optimism, and the spirit of unstoppable growth. Through every bull market, hype cycle, “it’s so over” post, meta, and market correction, Ankr continues to build tools for hardcore developers. We were excited to carry this legacy into one of the most important years for Web3 so far.
In 2025, crypto stopped explaining itself and started proving itself. With regulatory frameworks solidifying, and traditional financial institutions moved decisively onchain, blockchain infrastructure became something institutions are increasingly depending on, not experimenting with. The industry has now entered a phase where performance, compliance, and reliability matter as much as innovation.
That shift shaped everything Ankr built this year. As demand grew for production-ready Web3 infrastructure, we focused on delivering the speed, stability, and scale required by developers and enterprises operating in real-world conditions. We launched new capabilities, expanded support for institutional use cases, and continued to remove friction for teams building across chains. This Year in Review looks back at how Ankr showed up in a year that redefined what it means to build in crypto.
Even though the culture at Ankr never includes resting on our laurels, we can still take the time to look back on our most impactful wins of the past year. Let's get into it.
Top Stats of 2025
Ankr’s flagship infrastructure reached new levels of scale and reliability in 2025, supporting a record volume of RPC requests from tens of thousands of developers and applications building across the ecosystem. This growth reflects more than increased usage. It signals a shift toward production-grade blockchain adoption, where performance and uptime are essential. The following highlights capture how Ankr’s infrastructure met the demands of a rapidly maturing Web3 landscape.
Supported Blockchains
Ankr is proud to provide connections to an array of blockchains, allowing devs to build on any chain they wish.

The Leaders in Onchain Activity
This year, Ankr’s infrastructure supported trillions of calls across a diverse set of networks, highlighting both scale and balance in usage. BSC led the year with over 623B calls (13.6%), maintaining its position as the most active network. Ethereum and Polygon followed closely, with 580B (12.7%) and 516B calls (11.3%) respectively, reinforcing their continued importance in the broader Web3 ecosystem.

Beyond the established leaders, several emerging patterns stood out. Base, Somnia mainnet, and Somnia testnet saw strong and consistent usage, together accounting for over 900B calls, reflecting growing adoption and trust in these networks.
Notably, Gnosis entered the top 10 for the first time, surpassing 100B calls, signaling expanding developer activity and new momentum across the ecosystem. Together, these trends point to a more distributed and resilient infrastructure footprint for Ankr in 2025.

Features Launched To Drive Innovation In 2025
Ankr’s product team delivered a series of new offerings in 2025 that addressed critical gaps in Web3 infrastructure. Each release was designed to help developers move faster, operate more reliably, and build applications capable of supporting real-world scale and adoption.
New Products
Bitcoin-Secured Infrastructure
It was quite a year for bitcoin. Ankr’s Bitcoin-secured infrastructure enables developers to build chains and apps that inherit Bitcoin’s security without sacrificing programmability or performance. By abstracting away operational complexity and providing reliable, production-ready access, Ankr allows teams to deploy faster while benefiting from Bitcoin’s unmatched trust model and capital access.
Web3 API Updates
Ankr expanded the Web3 API platform with gRPC support for Premium users, giving developers a faster, more efficient, and more scalable way to interact with blockchain data. This addition joins existing RPC and REST access, offering a new performance tier for applications that rely on rapid and stable data delivery.
Ankr continues to redefine the Web3 development experience with the release of Team Management, a feature designed for modern dev teams and individual builders alike. This marks a significant step in our mission to create the most intuitive, responsive, and scalable infrastructure layer that keeps pace with the demands of today’s decentralized projects.
Ankr’s referral program turns developer influence into real, ongoing rewards by tying referrals directly to infrastructure usage. It is compelling because it aligns trust, education, and growth, rewarding developers for helping others build on reliable, production-ready Web3 infrastructure.
Swagger is a set of open-source tools built around the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) — a standard for describing RESTful APIs. Together, they make APIs more accessible, interactive, and easier to integrate into complex systems. With Swagger UI, developers can visualize and interact with a platform’s API in a browser, without writing any extra code.
