When you stake with Ankr as the Node Provider, ANKR token staking does not involve any slashing or other penalties. However, future additional options with other Node Providers may involve some risks, depending on the provider.
As of now, staking ANKR is only available on ERC-20.
Minimum — 1000 ANKR.
Maximum — unlimited.
After the locking period of 84–91 days, which begins after you stake, you’ll be able to unstake your tokens. The locking period is expressed in days, but it is actually counted in epochs: your tokens are locked for 12 epochs, and 1 epoch is 7 days; the countdown starts after the epoch you staked in, so if you stake at the beginning of an epoch, your locking period will be 91 days, whereas if your stake at the end of an epoch, your locking period will be 84 days.
The unstaking process takes two steps:
Undelegate period that lasts one next epoch, which is one next week after your unstaking operation. So, it can taken take 7–14 days, e.g. 14 days if you unstake on Monday, 13 — on Tuesday, and so on.
Once the undelegate period has ended, you can claim your unstaked ANKR.
For each staking transaction, a new locking period will apply, i.e. each new stake will be locked for 84–91 days before you can unstake it and/or claim/restake rewards for it.
Rewards accumulate on the weekly basis.
When you’ve staked, you can claim or restake your first rewards after the epoch following your stake, which translates into current + next epoch. An epoch is 7 days. If you staked at the beginning of an epoch, you can claim your first rewards after 14 days, whereas if you staked at the end of an epoch, you can claim them in 7 days.
Following this, you can claim or restake new chunks of your rewards each next epoch, which is each 7 days.
Yes, you can.
You can choose to reinvest your staking rewards to get higher APY, i.e. restake them.
Staking your rewards without claiming them is considered a regular staking transaction and will have the usual locking period of 84–91 days.
Yes. You will continue to collect rewards until you unstake.
Must rewards be claimed from the Ankr website, or will they be automatically sent to the supplying wallet?
